Kathryn Fleming-Kuhn
Kathryn Fleming-Kuhn is a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medalist. She is a USDF Certified Instructor through Second Level.
In 2005, Kate travelled to Europe for 10 days with the Dressage Foundation’s Olympic Dream Program. In 2006, Kate was invited as a demo rider for the USDF National Symposium with Ingrid Klimke on Cinnamon, a four- year-old Hanoverian mare started by Kate. A picture of the pair at the Symposium made the February 2007 cover of USDF Connection.
Kate began her competitive career on an Arabian mare with whom she had regional and national success as a junior. On StarWest’s stallion, Star Sir Truth, Kate won multiple regional and national titles at Second through Fourth Levels.
With her first schoolmaster, LA Baltic Mariner, Kate won the Silver Medal at the USEF FEI Junior Championships in 1999. In 2000, Kate and Mariner won the IAHA National Championship at Fourth Level Open. In 2001, they were a member of the North American Young Rider Region Two Team that won the Team Bronze.
With Pinky Noll’s Ariba of Aslan, Kate was the first alternate for the Region Two NAYRC team in 2003. In 2006, Kate and on her own Phoenix had a fantastic season competing at Second and Third Levels. Phoenix won the the 2006 USDF Horse of the Year title with a median score of 72.766%. Kate has experience training many different types of horses at different stages of training.
She also enjoys helping teach riders how to ride correctly.
