Kelly Clausing
Kelley Clausing’s association with StarWest began before her birth. Her parents, Jeff and Linda Boston of 
Farmersville, were among Alice Martin’s first students when StarWest began in 1975. Kelley competed at low level dressage and in local hunter-jumper shows until attending the University of Illinois, where she received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in history.
In 2004, after securing a job as an historian with the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, she began taking lessons at StarWest. Soon after, she began working part-time at StarWest.
In August 2006, Kelley moved into the apartment above the stable to become the barn manager. In the spring of 2007, Kelley acquired Wakan, a 1994 Hanoverian gelding, whom she looks forward to showing in the upcoming years.
