Susanne von Dietze Clinic

CLINIC SCHEDULE HERE
The author of Balance in Movement: The Seat of the Rider is coming to StarWest to clinic on May 31 and June 1. Susanne von Dietze, the star of the Balance in Movement video, is a licensed physical therapist as well as an international rider and instructor of instructors. Her next book will be on back pain and riding. Von Dietze’s specialty is making a transformation for the better in the rider’s seat during a 45-minute lesson.

After moving to Israel in 2006, von Dietze is responsible for instructor training, therapeutic and classical, at Wingate Institute. She held the same position for the Akademie des Pferdes at Warendort, Verden, Mannheim, Redefin, Langenfeld in 2005 for Germany. She has conducted clinics and symposiums in Hungary, Australia, the US, Austria, England, New Zealand, Scandivavia as well as in her native Germany.

In 1990 von Dietze started her riding education with her father, Rittmeister Gottfried v. Dietze, a student of Alois Podhaysky. In 1987, she received her certification as a physical therapist specializing in spine and joint treatment. In 1988 she received her Trainer A certification FN (German Equestrian Federation) while in training with Karl-Heinz Streng.

Von Dietze became a certified Hippotherapist in 1990 and a German ‘r’ judge in 1992. Thus far she has produced eight videos for the FN. She was a bereiter for Thomas Schmidt in 1989 and Helena and Pter Weinberg in 1993. In the International FEI World Dressage Challenge she became international Champion in 2002 (Novice), 2003 (Advanced), 2004 (Advanced) and Reserve Champion in 2004 (Novice). She has competed horses to Prix St. Georges and 1.40m jumping and has trained students to those levels in both disciplines.

Forty-five minute lessons are $170 each and available Saturday and Sunday, May 31 and June 1. Those who take two lessons will receive preference over those who just take one lesson. Auditors are welcome at $10 per day or $15 for two days. If you have back pain or struggle to sit the trot, this is the clinic for you.
